Applied Kinesiology
What is Applied Kinesiology?
Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a system that evaluates structural, chemical and mental aspects of your health using manual muscle testing along with other diagnostic standard methods.
Using Applied Kinesiology is determined why a muscle is not working properly. When some imbalance is found, the doctor will look for the best therapy to normalize or improve its functions.
How Applied Kinesiology will help me?

The motor system, your muscles, are the window to the nervous system. Through muscle testing, we can evaluate much more than the proper functioning of the motor system. Due to the relationship between organs and muscles -visceromotor reflexes- and between muscles and acupuncture meridians, manual muscle testing offers us a very valuable tool to find problems in them even before the symptoms appear.
Applied Kinesiology treatments may include chiropractic adjustments or articular mobilizations, myofascial therapies, acupuncture techniques, clinical nutrition, diet recommendations, evaluation of environmental aggressors, and several techniques of neurological reflexes.
Do you want to know more?
Let’s see a case: A patient shows up with knee pain. Besides, his clinic history reveals that he suffers from stress, he takes sugar and coffee regularly. In the assessment, we find dysfunction in the associated muscles of the adrenal glands. Since these muscles have origin and insertion in the pelvis and the knee, both regions may suffer from overloading.
With Applied Kinesiology we can confirm such a connection between the endocrine dysfunction, because of the stress and the patient’s habits, and his knee pain. This facilitates treating him holistically in a much more objective and efficient way.
